The season has officially changed here in Belgium, which means it's time for colder days and warmer clothes. For me, autumn is practically a synonym for cozyness, so I wanted to start this new season in an outfit that makes me feel at ease. This has to be one of the most casual outfits I’ve ever thrown together. Striped shirt, classic Converses and a pair of jeans, sometimes you don’t really need more than this.

Let’s start off with the striped T-shirt I’m wearing. It’s originally from H&M, but I found it in a thrift shop in Ghent. With it’s loose fit and neutral colours, it’s the perfect top to throw on when I’m feeling like wearing a more laid-back outfit. I like how the stripes are thinner than the ones on the average horizontal striped T-shirts that you see everywhere lately. Besides, even though you wouldn't really say at first sight, this shirt is actually pretty colourful (according to my standards, that is): white, black, yellow ànd grey. Too much. Can't handle.
Apparently, this T-shirt is actually meant to be worn as pyjamas, but since I don't really draw a line between nightwear and everyday wear, people are used to seeing me in stuff they thought were my pyjamas. But hey, who doesn't love pyjamas?

The jeans were a real steal. I was shopping for Christmas presents a few years ago and, suprise suprise, ended up in a Think Twice store in Ghent. Back then, I didn’t own a high-waisted anything and had been on the hunt for a pair like these for quite some time. I tried them on and they fit like a glove. I especially love the colour on these, a deep dark blue with tiny white specks throughout. Since they were quite cheap for jeans of that quality, I decided to buy them as an early Christmas present for myself. I broke the zipper a few weeks later, just before an important presentation in class, but my grandmother replaced it and now, they’re as good as new. Thanks, grandma!`

I have never owned a pair of Converses in my life (shocking), but my girlfriend has, so that came in handy. These are pretty worn, but I actually kind of like that look. I'm not really a fan of bright white, shiny shoes which maybe explains why I like second hand shopping so much. And now, after all these years, I can finally understand where the hype comes/came from: so, so comfortable.

How much for everything?
T-shirt: 2 euros (!!!)
Pants: 10 euros
Shoes: 0 euros
Total spent: 12 euros
